Another sale top 2023 Red Angus Invitational

Yallambee Angus have again topped the sale selling to $24,000 at the 2023 Red Angus Invitational Sale in Tamworth on 15 June 2023 (with S76 pictured). S76 is an impressive Red Angus bull with a strong and sturdy frame. He is a darker red and soft coated bull with excellent length, muscle and bone. He is a bull with undeniable quality and a pedigree that is second to none.

There was more of a commercial focus to this year’s Invitational as bulls are heading to Tamworth straight from their studs rather than participating in a feedlot trial (as in previous years).

All 7 Yallambee Angus bulls on offer were sold, to an impressive average of $15,000.

Milwillah Blackout Q822 was purchased by Yallambee Angus for $100,000 at the 2021 Milwillah sale. A son of renowned Angus sire Powerpoint and a proven pedigree, Blackout brings unprecedented potential to our breeding program at Yallambee and can provide value to many lines of cattle.

Progeny from Milwillah Blackout will feature in our inaugural
on-property sale set for Spring 2024.

Yallambie Revival (Q56)

Feedlot performance and the package of outcross genetics and structural soundness saw Yallambee Angus top the inaugural Red Angus Invitational in Tamworth at $20,000 with Yallambie Revival (Q56). This bull was the first of the Northline Revival sons on the ground after adding this sire to our Red Angus program.

Bulls completed a 70 day feedlot trial at Tullimba Feedlot in 2021. At the end, 17-month-old Yallambee Revivial weighed 764kgs, (533kg at the start of trial), had fat depth measurements of 22mm and 13mm (up from 6mm and 4mm), and eye muscle area (EMA) of 111sq cm (up from 87sq cm). He also had the biggest IMF score of 7.5 per cent at the end of the feedlot trial.
